A work plan is an argument; it is written to plan the activities for a given period of time, first so as to convince decision makers for its approval, then as a guiding document for the activities to be carried out during that time period.
Note the inclusion of appendices in the structure and outline of the work plan. This activity challenges students to create a visual image of what they did hands on, and helps them to reflect on how individual acts of ordering fit into the larger picture of system organization. Analysis is the skill underpinning all others.
Together, they explain how you intend to go about converting inputs into outputs. Also, be sure to leave their systems in place in the classroom. A sense of purpose will connect to developing a central idea or thesis.

Book Organizing Invite students to organize the books in your classroom. A three month work plan is too short, considering the amount of time and effort needed to prepare the plan.
Once everyone has retrieved their items, lead a brief discussion about how students located them.
